Stayed here before and would definitely stop here again. We ate at a great restaurant for the bar and restaurant. It included a phone and coffee, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

The room was airy and perfect, and the bed was comfortable, would love to go back. The restaurant here was nice for the bar and restaurant, we both ordered appetising dishes. The service was exceptional, including a friendly check-in. Besides, we have parked onsite. Exceptional location and overall the staff was attentive. Also, Stanley Ghyll Waterfall was 2 km away.

great atmosphere but noise issues
The communication regarding bike storage was excellent. The staff were great despite the busy pub atmosphere.
The noise from the pub made it hard to relax in our room.

We enjoyed walks through the fells and a lovely stroll across the sandstone ridges. The local food was excellent and the super nice team, providing gluten-free options. The rooms were comfy and warm, ideal after a day out.
The only downside was that the bedroom doors had noisy closers, which could wake you up if others were coming in late.

Charming, Charming, Charming
The peaceful garden area was the perfect spot to unwind after a long hike. My room reminded me of a cozy retreat, equipped with a power shower that worked wonders on my tired muscles. The locally sourced meals were hearty and delicious, leaving me excited for every single dining experience.

The location is perfect for exploring scafell pike, just a short drive away. The staff were great by packing lunches for our early walking trip. The room was lovely and clean. Definitely a highlight was enjoying a cozy meal at the pub nearby-it had one of the best sticky toffee puddings we've had!
the only drawback is that we could only stay for one night!

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, but we faced a hiccup with the Wi-Fi and dining service safety. For better relaxation, choose a less crowded time and request a non-smoking area away from windows.
